WITH SMALL EDITIONS
Join Small Editions’ Founding Partner Kimberly McClure on the Floating Library for a beginning bookbinding workshop. Learn to construct an ancient nonadhesive binding that has modern appeal. Its exposed sewing is complemented by the variety of materials that can be used to make book covers. You will create your own blank book that can be used for drawing, writing, or just plain looking cool. Participants will also take home a small booklet with instructions to replicate the binding on their own time in their own home.
SMALL EDITIONS publishes and supports Contemporary Artists Books. Through exhibitions, public events, publications, and traveling tours, Small Editions creates a space for new conversations about Artists Books. Small Editions Press receives funding through fiscal sponsorship from The Relationship Performance and Art Group Inc. and through the commissioned production of bound works.
